Forest Healing Camp
Nature has always been a great teacher & healer. Much evidence is coming forth about how spending time in nature is good for the mind, body & spirit. The human brain behaves positively differently out in nature, it actually works better. Once you tune human senses into the nature, you become aware of the present moment. Breathing in the fresh forest air away from the harmful pollutants of the city oxygenates your blood. In general, spending time in a forest environment helps to boost the immune system.
Forest Healing Camps combine bushcraft skills alongside natural healing techniques such as forest bathing aka Shinrin-Yoku, yoga, dance/movement, nature art therapy or sound healing/bathing sessions using various instruments that are designed to shift the brain into a more relaxed state. The natural healing element on camp is subject to instructor availability, however, all our forest healing camps include a sound healing session using high frequency gong, tibetan singing bowls and rain sticks. You will receive a gong bath healing session underneath a canopy of trees.
NATURE IS A POWERFUL HEALER
Forest Healing Camp shares bushcraft skills with the added element of natural healing.
The Forest Healing Camp gives you the chance to unplug from hustle and bustle of city life and tune into an ancient woodland environment. You will take part in deep breathing, mindfulness exercises, meditation, Qi gong, sound healing techniques and forest bathing aka Shinrin-Yoku.
You will spend time learning specific bushcraft skills. Forage for tinder & fuel, learn about useful trees, fungi & plants and take part in a sound healing session using a high frequency gong, tibetan singing bowls, rainstick or the didgeridoo.
Depending on the availability of instructors. Forest Healing Camps may include yoga, nature art therapy, meditation, wood work or belly dancing/movement workshops.
Sound healing is helpful to people who have trouble meditating, quietening or stilling the mind. Instruments such as the Gong, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Rainstick, Didgeridoo or Native American Indian Flute are used in our sound healing sessions in the woods. All these instruments are designed to increase a deep state of relaxation.
To be mindful is being in the present moment. The habit of not being able to switch off repetitive thought patterns can create stress, depression or anxiety.
Nature is a powerful healer. Spending time around trees & in woodlands is scientifically proven to have positive health benefits on physical and mental wellbeing. It can support in boosting your immune system, can help to regulate sleeping patterns and reduce stress or anxiety.
Have the opportunity to be away from all the noise & distractions of an urban environment.
Let go of city life or stresses, restore the balance and rejuvenate surrounded by nature.
